HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Fighting Knights won the doubles point by defeating their opponents in first and second singles. The team of Karyna Bihel and Jacqueline Wagner won first singles 6-2, while Giorgia Pigato and Zofia Pobiol won second double 6-4.
- Singles saw the same domination from the Fighting Knights. Cibakova won fifth singles 6-1, 6-3 to give Lynn a 2-0 lead.
- Bihel won fourth singles 6-3, 6-1 to put Lynn one point away from the shutout win.
- Pigato then secured victory for the Fighting Knights by winning third singles 6-3, 6-2.
- The remaining three singles matches were abandoned due to Lynn clinching victory. The Fighting Knights were leading in two of those three matchups.
