Bradenton, Florida - Just days after wrapping up their first SSC regular-season title in program history, the Fighting Knights began Sunshine State Tournament Play with a dominant 4-0 victory over the eighth-seeded Tritons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Fighting Knights had no trouble picking up the doubles point. The second doubles team of Lucca Baptista and Diego Gonzalez won 6-0, then the third doubles team of Ryan Neale and Nicolas Cabrera won 6-2.
- Singles was more of the same domination for the Fighting Knights.
- In fourth singles, Gianmarco Amatiste defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-0 to give Lynn their second point of the match.
- No. 21 Baptista won second singles 6-4, 6-0 to put Lynn within a point of clinching.
- Will Kirkman wrapped up the match with a 6-2, 6-0 win in sixth singles to send the Fighting Knights to the semifinals.
UP NEXT
The Fighting Knights will meet fourth-seeded Saint Leo tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the semifinals. The Lions were the only SSC team to defeat Lynn this season, defeating them 4-3.
