HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1):

• In the first inning, the Spartans opened up the scoring for their 9-0 win. They led 2-0 after one.
• Taylor Scala recorded Lynn's lone hit in the top of the third.
• The Spartans added four more runs in the bottom of the third. They would score two more in the sixth to win 9-0.
• Scala went 1-2.
• Madison Prickett opened the game for Lynn. In her 3.1IP she allowed six runs on six hits.
• Haley Fardanesh in relief gave up three earned runs in 1.2IP.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 2):

• In a very quiet game, the pitching from Josey Sumpter kept the Fighting Knights in it till the end.
• She had six strikeouts including two in each the first and fourth inning.
• The Spartans scored the only runs of the game in the bottom of the sixth. A double to right-center drove in two runs for Tampa's 2-0 victory.
• Lexi Butler went 1-3.
• Morgan Simpson went 1-2.
• Sumpter pitched all six innings for Lynn. She allowed two runs on three hits while throwing six strikeouts.
