HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Spartans opened the scoring in the first on a wild pitch to get ahead 1-0.
- In the fourth inning, the Fighting Knights put together successful at-bats to tie the game up.
- With a single from Janelle Dominguez and a double to left-center from Faith Miller, Brittney Davis reached on a sac-bunt to tie it at 1-1.
- The Spartans took the lead back in the bottom of the fifth. Tampa went up 5-1 after four hits and two errors.
- Dominguez went 1-3 with the lone run for Lynn.
- Davis had the lone RBI for the Fighting Knights.
- Taylor Scala went 1-3 with a double.
- Morgan Simpson went 1-2.
- Miller went 1-2 with a double. She also pitched 4.1 innings and allowed four runs on six hits. She had two Ks in her 4.1 innings.
- Josey Sumpter in relief pitched 1.2 innings and allowed one earned run.
