HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lynn won every match of the doubles round to pick up the first point of the day. The second doubles team of Lucca Baptista and Diego Gonzalez had the easiest time with their opponent, winning 6-2. In third doubles, Nicolas Cabrera and Ryan Neale won 6-4. Will Kirkman and Ignacio Martinez played the tightest match of the three in first doubles, and they managed to come away with the 6-4 win.
- The Tars picked up their first point of the match when Gonzalez fell in straight sets in first singles to the sixth-ranked player in the country.
- Kirkman regained the lead for the Fighting Knights, pulling off the 6-2, 6-3 victory in sixth singles.
- Gianmarco Amatiste put Lynn within one point of victory by winning fourth singles 6-2, 6-4.
- The remaining three matches all went to three sets, with Lynn taking one of the three points to wrap up the win.
- Gabriele Felline won the first set of his fifth singles match 6-0, but he fell in the remaining two sets to give Rollins their second point.
- Baptista clinched the win for Lynn in second singles. He fell in the first set of his match, but he battled back and won the second and third sets by scores of 6-1 and 6-2.
- In the final match to conclude, Martinez lost a tough match in third singles. He took the first set 6-2 before falling 7-5, 6-3 in the final two sets.
