Lynn women's soccer wins season opener

STATS OF THE GAME:

  • The Fighting Knights led the attack with two goals in the first half.
  • Anniina Sankoh found the back of the net for her first goal of the season with an assist from Addison Crone to lead the scoring.
  • Amanda Jansson had a tremendous finish off an assist from Talorie Crafton to net her first goal as a Lynn University Fighting Knight.
  • Auburn Montgomery came back strong to even the score at two with goals from Ella Moody and Mayson Jaindl.
  • With 23 minutes to go in the 2nd half the Knights came back when Crytal Ayn Hagberg sent a rocket into the net off an assist from Sankoh.
  • Just 10 minutes later Lynn put an exclamation mark on the game when Crone had her second assist setting up Saga Jontoft who netted her first goal as a Lynn University Fighting Knight
  • Fighting Knights goalkeeper Kiara Burga played all 90 minutes to record the win.

The Fighting Knights will continue their home stand and will take on Westminster on Saturday, August 27th at 1 p.m.
