BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn women's volleyball team hit over .300 in all three sets and the Fighting Knights cruised to a 3-0 victory over Eckerd on Saturday in SSC action.
The Fighting Knights improved to 7-3 overall and 2-2 in the league with the win. Lynn finished the afternoon with a .311 hitting percentage, while defensively it held the Tritons (9-3, 1-3 SSC) to a .175 hitting percentage.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights rolled in game one as they jumped out to an 8-2 cushion
- A 5-0 run that was part of a larger 9-2 scoring surge increased Lynn's lead to 17-5 in the opener
- A 4-0 run and late kills by graduate

Nadia Lindner closed the first set for Lynn 25-14
- Eckerd jumped out quickly in the second to a 6-3 lead and a 10-6 cushion and the visitors later led 17-12 following a 5-0 run
- The Fighting Knights slowly pulled their way back into the set, tying the score at 19-19 behind a service ace from graduate

Monica Mazzoleni knotted things at 22 before Lynn scored the final three points to rebound for the 25-23 win. Lynn's first lead of the second set came at 24-23 with a kill by Lindner
- The Fighting Knights never trailed in the final set and broke a 9-9 tie with three-straight points
- A 6-1 run increased the lead to 19-13, while the trio of Lindner, senior
Paige Barash and graduate
Nikolija Katanic combined for five kills for Lynn's final five points and a 25-18 victory
FIGHTING KNIGHT NUMBERS:
- Barash finished with 17 kills, while Lindner contributed 13
- Edwards handed out 44 assists to go along with seven digs and Black added nine digs
