BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University men's soccer team opened the home portion of 2022 schedule with a 2-2 draw against Clayton State, Friday evening at Bobby Campbell Stadium.
Senior Michael Knoetzinger had a hand in both goals as the Fighting Knights posted their second-consecutive draw after tying Florida Atlantic last weekend 2-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn got on the scoreboard first when Knoetzinger connected on a shot that gave the hosts a 1-0 cushion in the 12th minute of play
- Clayton answered moments later when Vic Delgado Miller scored off a pass from teammate Geo Rios to knot the score at 1-1
- The score remained tied at halftime, however, early in the second Knoetzinger found graduate Roman Hartleb for a goal that put Lynn up 2-1
- Lynn keeper Patrick Nettekoven made a diving stop in the 55th minute on a shot from Claytons' Youkendjy Pacius
- Just 30 seconds later, Clayton was awarded a corner kick and evened the score at 2-2 when Alexis Iturria scored
- Lynn had two chances to take the lead midway through the second but shots from junior Patrick O'Halloran and graduate Moritz Lusch were turned away by Laker keeper David Magala
