CLINTON, Miss. – The Lynn University women's soccer team traveled to Mississippi College for its first road trip of the season and suffered a 3-0 loss to the Choctows, Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Choctows scored first in the 16
th minute when Avery Hederman converted a penalty kick for a 1-0 lead
- Lynn had a chance to even the match four minutes later with its own penalty kick, but the attempt sailed wide of the net
- Erin Hederman scored Mississippi's second goal at 28:26 when she found the net off a feed from sister Avery
- Lynn had several opportunities late in the opening half to score with shots from graduate Annina Sankoh, freshman
Katja Orschmann and graduate
Jessica Newton, but all three attempts were saved by MC keeper Anna Wes Driskell

Denise Mendoza opened the second stanza with five saves over the first 15 minutes of action
- Mendoza notched additional saves in the 77
th and 88
th minutes
- Kathryn Knuth set the final score at 3-0 for Mississippi with a goal at 74:03
FIGHTING KNIGHT NOTES

Talorie Crafton led the way with two shots each
- Mendoza finished the game with a career-best 12 saves
