WINTER PARK, Fla. - Lynn University outscored Rollins 23-7 in the third quarter en route to a 70-51 win on Wednesday in an SSC matchup.Â

The Fighting Knights have won three-straight games and improve to 13-4 overall and 6-3 in the SSC. Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- The Fighting Knights led 30-28 after the first two quarters, before a 23-7 third-quarter scoring surge pushed their lead to 16 after three
- The Knights held off an early fourth quarter rally from the Tars for the win
- Lynn finished 50.0 percent from the field (27-of-54) … 43.8 percent from beyond the arc (7-of-16) and 75.0 percent from the free throw line (9-of-12)
- Sophomore
Ella Fiore opened the scoring for Lynn for a quick 2-0 lead and graduate
Jada Marone hit a jumper at 3:48 for a 13-7 lead
- The Tars rebounded and led by two after the first quarter before sophomore
Danielle Montelbano hit two free throws and Fiore hit a layup at 9:07 and Lynn never trailed again
- A three-pointer from Fiore opened up a seven-point lead for the Fighting Knights half way through the second frameÂ
- A quick three and back-to-back layups quickly put Rollins back in the game at 24-24Â
- Sophomore
Kennedi Philson hit a late layup to help Lynn to a 30-28 lead at intermission
- Lynn opened the second half on a 10-0 run for a 40-28 cushion
- Fiore hit a layup to open the third quarter and graduate
Marianna Klavina hit a layup and a free throw as the Fighting Knights led 40-28 at 4:54
- Lynn continued the surge and led by 20 points twice in late stages of the third
- Rollins opened the fourth with a run that cut the score to single-digits, 55-46
- The Fighting Knights pushed their lead back to 20, 68-48, when sophomore
Rachel Romich hit a three-pointer with just 1:01 to play
- Montelbano hit a layup with 30 seconds left for a 70-49 Lynn lead
