Jada Marone scored a team-high 21 points for the Lynn University women's basketball team in a 79-69 loss to Nova Southeastern, Saturday afternoon

The loss drops the Fighting Knights to 14-5 overall on the season and 7-4 in Sunshine State Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The contest featured three ties and two lead changes
- Lynn shot a higher percentage from the free throw line (94%) and from beyond the arc (50%) than the Sharks (75% and 27%, respectively)
- The Knights shot 22-of-49 from the field (45%) … 8-of-16 from beyond the arc (50%) … and 17-of-18 from the line (94%)
- The Sharks went on a 7-0 run to open the contest
- A layup from Marone opened the scoring for Lynn 1:45 into the game
- A pair of free throws from sophomore
Rachel Romich cut the Sharks lead to three halfway through the first stanza

Makayla Hemingway hit a three-pointer with 33 seconds left to bring Lynn within one point of the Sharks

Marianna Klavina gave the Fighting Knights their first lead of the ballgame, 25-23 with 8:22 left in the first half
- A Marone layup and a Cramb three gave the Knights a seven-point lead, 30-23 … Their largest lead of the night with 6:43 left in the half
- Cramb made a jumper with 0:15 on the clock to send the Fighting Knights back to the locker room with a four-point lead at halftime 39-35

Ella Fiore sunk a deep three-pointer two minutes into the second half, giving the Knights a five-point lead
- The Sharks went on a 5-0 run over the next minute of play to tie the game
- NSU recaptured the lead with 2:32 left in the third quarter and closed the frame on a 9-0 run for a 54-46 lead after three
- Nova knocked down the first basket of the fourth quarter for a 10-point cushion
- The Sharks outscored Lynn 25-23 in the fourth quarter and kept the Fighting Knights from making a run
