BOCA RATON, Fla. – Graduate student
Lucija Kostic led the Fighting Knights with 13 points and six assists in a hard-fought 64-62 loss to No. 9 Eckerd, Wednesday.
The loss drops the Fighting Knights to 14-6 overall on the season and 7-5 in Sunshine State Conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After each team scored on their first two possessions, Eckerd went on a 7-0 run to take a quick 11-4 lead
- Eckerd's full-court trap helped them secure a 21-10 lead after one quarter
- Lynn opened the second quarter by cutting the lead to six on sophomore

- A defensive battle saw each team go on a four-minute scoring drought in the second quarter
- Eckerd's Maya Price made a layup to take an 11-point lead, 26-15

Loie Webb rattled home a three and Kostic made a layup to cut the lead to two, 28-26, with 1:39 left in the first half
- Eckerd's Sofia Persson scored six of her game-high 30 points during a 12-4 run early in the third quarter to push the lead back to double-digits, 45-35
- Lynn trailed by as much as nine in the fourth quarter, but climbed back to within three on a Kostic layup with 2:04 left in the game

Makayla Hemingway's layup with :13 seconds left put the Fighting Knights within one, 63-62
- Eckerd's Nicole Scale made her first free throw, but missed her second as Kostic rebounded the attempt and called timeout with 3.2 seconds remaining
- The Fighting Knights ran out of time on their final possession as time expired before they could get a shot off
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Kostic shot 6-for-7 from the field with a season-high 13 points
- Over her last six games, Kostic is averaging 5.7 assists per game

Meghan Cramb added 12 points for the Fighting Knights
- Fiore tied a season-high with four steals in the contest
- Lynn went 25-for-50 (50%) from the field, outshooting Eckerd (22-for-51, 43%)
- The Fighting Knights went 6-for-10 from the free throw line, while Eckerd made 16 of 20 attempts
