BOCA RATON, Fla. – Four players scored in double figures for the Lynn University men's basketball team in an 86-83 loss to Eckerd in SSC action, Wednesday.
The Fighting Knights fall to 4-13 overall and 2-10 in the league.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The game featured just two lead changes and two ties
- The Fighting Knights shot 50.0 percent for the game, including 59 percent in the second frame on 13-of-22 from the floor
- Lynn rallied from an early deficit for a quick 5-3 lead following a three-pointer from freshman
Jimel Lane. Lynn led for the remainder of the first half including a 42-28 lead at halftime

Nordin Kapic connected on a three-pointer at 13:28 for a nine-point cushion, 14-5
- Junior
Jamison Evans hit a three at 11:50 for a 19-10 lead
- Kapic gave the Fighting Knights a 23-13 lead with a layup at 9:40
- The Fighting Knights closed the first half on a 7-0 run and junior
Braxton Bartlett sank two free throws for a 42-28 lead at intermission

Rickey Ballard hit a three-pointer at 17:15 in the second half as the Fighting Knights pushed their lead to 16, 49-33
- Bartlett hit a jumper on the ensuing possession for Lynn as the lead swelled to 53-33
- The Fighting Knights pushed their lead back to 20, 57-37 when Lane converted a traditional three-point play with 15:05 showing on the clock
- The Tritons slowly began to claw their way back into the contest
- Eckerd used a 14-3 run over a 3:38 stretch as it cut the deficit to 70-62
- The visitors pulled to within two at 4:12 and tied the game at 81 with 2:12 to play
- A late three-pointer and tip-in in the waning seconds sealed the win for the Tritons at 86-83
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Kapic led Lynn in scoring with 29 points and nine rebounds
- Evans came off the bench to score 15 points
- Ballard finished with 13, while Lane scored 11
- Freshman Ricky Gilmore handed out nine assists to go along with nine points
