Salma Djoubri coming away victorious in the singles tournament as the ITA DII National Champion. Djoubri won each of her matches in straight sets en route to the title. Meanwhile, the duo of junior

Deniza Marcinkevica also earned second place in the doubles tournament for the Fighting Knights.
Formerly known as the Small College Nationals, the ITA Cup has a history dating back to 1986. It is the only singles and doubles national championship event for the Division II and NAIA levels.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Singles:
- No. 1 overall seed sophomore Djoubri cruised to a victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville's Nadja Maier (6-1, 6-1) in the round of 16
- Djoubri advanced to the semifinals after defeating Metropolitan State's Hafner (6-0, 6-2)
- The sophomore earned a spot in the final on Saturday morning, blanking Washburn's Jung in two sets (6-0, 6-0)
- The No. 1 seed faced adversity in the final, winning the first set tiebreaker 7-2 against Flagler's Meier
- Djoubri then found her groove in the second set, winning 6-1, to earn the singles title
Doubles:
- No. 3 seeded duo junior

Deniza Marcinkevica took down Mercyhurst's Murphy and Dean (6-4, 6-2) to earn a first-round win
- The duo faced resistance from Central Oklahoma's Komada and Buntrock, but stayed resilient and advanced to the semifinals (7-6, 7-5)
- Schieroni and Marcinkevica earned a spot in the final after dropping Ruyssen and Komar (6-4, 6-1)
- The duo put together an amazing run, but fell in the final after losing to Nova Southeastern's Davies and Espinal (4-6, 3-6)
