Jonathan Olive-Blanco dropped its first-round doubles matchup, but earned a victory in the consolation round before inclement weather canceled the remainder of the tournament.
Formerly known as the Small College Nationals, the ITA Cup has a history dating back to 1986. It is the only singles and doubles national championship event for the Division II and NAIA levels.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles:
- Amatiste and Olive-Blanco fell in the first round to Harding's Zlatar and de Ruiter (3-6, 2-6)
- The duo won its initial consolation matchup against Charleston's Rawson and Perez in three sets (7-6, 4-6, 10-6)
- The remaining consolation matches were discontinued because of weather
