Hagberg scores, leads Lynn over Barry

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Lynn University women's soccer team won its second consecutive matchup on Wednesday evening, defeating Barry 1-0. The Fighting Knights were led by a game-winning goal from Crystal Ayn Hagberg and assist from Saga Jontoft in the Sunshine State Conference win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Buccaneers got off to a strong start, recording three shots before the 13th minute
- Lynn keeper Brooke Auth saved a shot that went down the middle in the 17th minute
- In the 27th minute, Brigitta Pulins put a shot on target, but it was saved by Barry's Caon
- Auth saved another shot in the 34th minute that helped preserve a 1-0 lead for the Fighting Knights at the break
- The freshman keeper picked up right where she left off, saving another shot in the 49th minute
- Jontoft dribbled forward and played the ball across the 18-yard box to Hagberg, who beat the defender in front of her and fired a shot into the bottom left corner, giving Lynn a 1-0 advantage in the 50th minute
- The Fighting Knights kept the pressure on, with Talorie Crafton and Pulins recording shots on frame in the 67th and 72nd minutes, respectively
- Auth saved a pair of shots in the final 20 minutes, securing a 1-0 conference win on the road
