Pulins scores again, leads Lynn to fourth consecutive win

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University women's soccer team won its matchup on Wednesday evening, defeating Palm Beach Atlantic, 1-0. The Fighting Knights were led by a goal from Brigitta Pulins and an assist from K'La Barnes-Blackwood in the Sunshine State Conference victory. With the win, Lynn has now won its last four matches and sits just four points away from 6th place in the SSC standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first 15 minutes of the match were hard fought, with the Fighting Knights dominating possession
- Isabella Battista recorded the first shot of the match in the 16th minute, but it sailed over the crossbar
- The next 20 minutes were back-and-forth, with neither team recording a shot
- Brisa Sastre took the second shot of the game for the Fighting Knights just before the first half ended
- The Fighting Knights took the lead after Barnes-Blackwood received a cross inside the 18-yard box, then laid it off for Pulins, who buried it in the back of the net in the 50th minute
- Kayla Bradby recorded a pair of shots in the 54th and 61st minutes, respectively, with one just narrowly missing the crossbar
- Lynn keeper Brooke Auth saved her first shot of the match after PBA's Leal got inside the box in the 63rd minute
- Despite taking the lead, the Fighting Knights kept the pressure on, with Isabelle Nystrom putting a shot on frame that was saved by PBA's Peebles
- Lynn's defense, led by the center back duo of Grace Guidry and Tyler Vance, stayed resilient and helped finish out a narrow 1-0 victory at home
