Lynn falls in heartbreaker at No. 17 Embry-Riddle

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Lynn University women's soccer team dropped its matchup on Saturday evening, losing a heartbreaker to No. 17 Embry-Riddle, 1-0. K'La Barnes-Blackwood and Isabelle Nystrom each recorded a shot on goal for the Fighting Knights, and Brooke Auth saved 6 shots in the Sunshine State Conference loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles gained the early momentum, taking a pair of shots within the first 8 minutes
- Lynn keeper Auth saved a pair of shots in the 19th and 35th minutes, respectively, to help the Fighting Knights reach halftime with the score tied 0-0
- Auth opened the second half with another save
- Barnes-Blackwood recorded the first shot on target of the game for Lynn, but it was saved by ERAU's Jokinen in the 53rd minute
- The Eagles kept the pressure on, forcing Auth to make a pair of saves in a span of three minutes
- On a corner kick from Gabriella Lecuona, Saga Jontoft placed a header just over the crossbar in the 67th minute
- Isabelle Nystrom had a shot on frame in the 77th minute, but it was saved by Jokinen
- The Knights fell behind after the Eagles' Kettle put a header into the back of the net in the 86th minute
- Barnes-Blackwood took a shot in the 88th minute, but Lynn was unable to equalize before the final whistle
