LAKELAND, Fla. – Four players finished with 10 or more kills to power the Lynn University volleyball team a 3-0 shutout at Florida Southern, Saturday. The Fighting Knights hits .222 as a team and posted eight service aces as they improve to 17-7 overall and 8-5 in the SSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights held off a feisty Florida Southern squad for wins of 27-25, 25-16 and 25-17
- Lynn smacked 43 kills with 40 assists and 66 digs

Aline Olegario combined for 41 of Lynn's 43 kills in the win
- The Mocs led the first half of set one before an 8-0 run from the Fighting Knights grabbed a 19-14 cushion
- Wolf smacked four kills during the outburst
- The hosts rebounded for a 24-23 lead, but Lynn closed with four of the final five points to take the first set
- Olegario and Howard each smacked a kill during the final four points
- The Fighting Knights took control of the match in the second half of set two
- Trailing 13-12 in the second, Lynn turned up the pressure and outscored the Mocs 13-3 over the remainder of the set for the 25-16 win
- Wolf started the comeback with two kills, while Chara added three kills late in the set
- Lynn used a 9-0 scoring run in the third set to break a 9-9 tie for an 18-9 lead
- Chara started the run with back-to-back kills
- Florida Southern pulled to within five at 22-17, but three late errors from the hosts gave Lynn the 25-17 win
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Olegario finished with 10 kills and a .500 hitting percentage
