Fighting Knights lose on the road to Rollins, 2-0

WINTER PARK, Fla. - The No. 5 Lynn men's soccer team dropped their first match of the season Wednesday night, falling 2-0 to No. 10 Rollins. The Fighting Knights are now 6-1-2 overall and 1-1-2 in the Sunshine State Conference.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
- Lynn jumped out to an early start with two corner kicks and three shots (two by sophomore Fabian Vyhnalek and one by senior Patrick O'Halloran) within the first 12 minutes of the match 
- Rollins scored at 35:21 off the right foot of Jorge Lamerias to give the home team a 1-0 lead 
- Seven minutes later, Nazar Tsaruk gave the Tars a 2-0 lead with a goal near the top right corner of the net 
- Rollins held the edge at the half in shots, 7-6 
- Graduate student Luis Kiefer attempted a shot just 30 seconds into the second half and had the final shot of the match at 86:19 
- Rollins outshot Lynn 15-9 in the match  
- The Fighting Knights are now 20-8-2 all time against the Tars 
- Lynn ends its 8-match unbeaten streak to start the season, their longest such-streak since 2017 (also 8 matches)
