ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Lynn University women's soccer team on dropped its matchup on Saturday evening, losing 4-2 at Eckerd. Despite the loss, the Fighting Knights were led by goals from
Brigitta Pulins and
K'La Barnes-Blackwood in the Sunshine State Conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Fighting Knights got off to a strong start, with
Evelin Dapprich, Pulins and Barnes-Blackwood taking shots within the first nine minutes.
- The Tritons jumped out to a 1-0 lead after Drummond put the ball in the back of the net in the 12th minute.
- The remainder of the first half was hard fought, and
Brooke Auth picked up a pair of saves while
Francesca Brito recorded a shot.
- Eckerd opened the second half with another goal from Drummond, extending its lead to 2-0 after 47 minutes.
- Just under a minute later, Pulins scored her second goal of the season from the penalty spot, lowering Lynn's deficit to 1-2.
- Drummond scored her third goal of the match in the 60th minute, pushing Eckerd's advantage to 3-1.
- Under 30 seconds later, Barnes-Blackwood scored her second goal of the season and lowered Lynn's deficit to 2-3.

Talorie Crafton put a shot on frame, but it was saved by the Eckerd keeper in the 64th minute.
- Drummond scored her fourth goal of the match in the 76th minute, extending the Tritons' advantage to 4-2.
