BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn men's basketball improved to 2-0 with a 94-84 win over Flagler, Saturday night. The Fighting Knights scored 58 second half points and had six players score in double figures.
Tradavis Thompson led all Fighting Knights with 19 points, while
Jalen Gilmore added 18 points, 11 assists and 3 steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A back-and-forth first half started with five ties and six lead changes in the first seven minutes
- Lynn went on a 5-0 run to take a 15-12 lead with 12:46 left in the first half
- Flagler took a 22-17 lead at the 10-minute mark on a three-pointer

Jamison Evans went on a personal 5-0 run (three-pointer and a layup) to tie the game with eight minutes left in the first half
- The Saints used an 8-0 run to take a 30-22 lead

Rickey Ballard scored four points as part of a 6-0 Lynn run to cut Flagler's lead to one with a minute left in the first half
- The Fighting Knights trailed 39-36 at the half

Nordin Kapic started the scoring in the second half with a three-pointer to tie the game
- Mason Manning hit a three-pointer for Flagler's final lead, 47-46, with 15:28 remaining

Tradavis Thompson gave the Fighting Knights a lead they would not relinquish with a layup at 14:30

Ben Gahlert's fast break dunk gave Lynn a 51-47 edge with 13:36 remaining
- Lynn took a 61-51 lead thanks to a 10-1 run that was led by
Jalen Gilmore and
Jamison Evans each scoring four points over the stretch
- Kapic hit a three-pointer and Evans made two free throws as Lynn took its largest lead (17), 85-68, with 4:29 left in the game
- The Fighting Knights pushed the pace for a layup by Gahlert with :32 left that put the game away for good, 94-84
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Thompson finished with 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting (53.8%)
- Gilmore filled up the stat sheet with 18 points (7-of-11), 11 assists, six rebounds and three steals
- Gahlert scored 17 points (8-of-12) with eight rebounds
- Kapic finished with 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting and five rebounds
- Ballard scored 10 points with eight boards
- Evans contributed 11 points
