Tradavis Thompson scored 26 points and sophomore
Nordin Kapic posted his fourth double-double of the season to power Lynn University to a dominating 91-72 win over Barton, Tuesday on the second day of the Florida Tech Winter Classic.
Lynn improves to 6-2 overall after collecting a win in its final non-conference game of the regular season. The Bulldogs settle at 5-7 with their second loss at the Winter Classic.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn shot 54.8 percent (34-of-62) from the floor, its second best percentage of the season
- The Fighting Knights outrebounded Barton, 38-31
- Lynn outscored Barton in both halves, 52-41 in the first and 39-31 in the second

Ben Gahlert kick started a 10-0 run with a layup at 16:21 in the first half that gave Lynn a 17-7 edge at 13:32
- Thompson hit a three-pointer a minute later for a 20-9 cushion and he added a three-pointer at 11:06 for a 27-11 lead
- The Fighting Knights increased the lead to 16, 37-21, following an 8-2 scoring jolt that was capped by a graduate

- Gahlert flushed a dunk with 2:23 left for a 48-30 advantage and Lynn led 52-41 at halftime
- Kapic hit a layup just five minutes into the second half as Lynn's lead swelled to 62-43
- Barton used a 9-2 run to trim its deficit to 11, 66-55, with 11:28 showing on the clock in the second
- Lynn answered with a 10-0 run, capped by an Evans three, for a 76-55 lead with 8:08 to play
- Thompson hit a layup with 4:32 left for an 82-59 lead
