BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University baseball team scored seven runs over the third and fourth innings and carried that momentum to an 8-1 win over Kentucky Wesleyan, Saturday. The win is the third straight for the Fighting Knights as they improved their overall record to 4-1-1 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Chase Wills served as the "opener" for Lynn, pitching a scoreless first inning in his first appearance of the season

Yuzuki Okamura got things going in the bottom of the third with a double that scored second baseman
AJ Orrico for a 1-0 lead
- Two batters later, right fielder
Ryan Ford tripled, scoring both Okamura and
Shawn Dougherty
- Ford closed the inning's scoring when he crossed the plate on a passed ball for a 4-0 lead
- Orrico and center fielder
Byron Murray scored to open the fourth frame when a ball hit to the Kentucky Wesleyan shortstop wasn't fielded cleanly
- The Fighting Knights lead ballooned to 7-0 when left fielder
Leon Paulino singled home Okamura

Tyler Romanias entered in the second inning and held the Panthers scoreless over five innings, finishing strong by striking out the side in his final frame of work
- Lynn's final run of the ballgame came in the sixth inning when Okamura scored an unearned run on an error by the KWC pitcher
- Wesleyan's sacrifice fly in the eighth inning scored the final run of the game
