BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University men's basketball team suffered a 78-73 loss to Rollins on Saturday as the Tars used a late run to earn the win.
The loss drops the Fighting Knights to 4-18 overall and 2-15 in the SSC
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The contest featured nine lead changes and six ties
- The Tars finished 31-of-64 (48.4%) from the field, while Lynn shot 27-of-62 (43.5%)
- Freshman
Nordin Kapic handed the hosts a pair of nine-point leads with layups at 15:08 and 14:35 in the first half
- Junior
Braxton Bartlett knocked down a three-pointer at 12:13 as the Fighting Knights grabbed their largest lead of the game at 13, 20-7

Jamison Evans hits a three-pointer with 8:57 on the clock as Lynn led 25-14
- Graduate student
Jahmel Meyers made a layup in traffic at 6:57 for a 27-18 edge
- An 8-0 run from the Tars cut their deficit to 27-26 with 3:59 to play in the first half
- A layup and free throw for Rollins with 54 seconds left gave it a 34-32 lead before Bartlett hit a jumper before the half to knot things at 34 at the break
- The Tars opened up an 11-point lead 49-38 less than five minutes into the second half
- Lynn rebounded with a 18-4 run that grabbed a three-point lead 57-54 with 8:17 to play
- Bartlett hit a three to start the run, Gilmore and Kapic added three-pointers in the middle and sophomore
Montez Leath hit a layup and free throw to give the Fighting Knights the three-point lead
- Leath later hit two foul shots for a 67-62 Lynn advantage with 4:17 to play
- Gilmore knocked down a three-pointer at 2:40 to put the hosts ahead by six, 72-66
- Lynn made just one free throw after that as Rollins closed the game on a 12-1 run for the win
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Kapic posted a double-double 25 points and 13 rebounds on 10-of-19 shooting
- Bartlett scored a career-high 15 points with three three-pointers
- Gilmore finished with 10 points and eight assists
