Emilia Olivieri Ramos set the school record in the shot put and freshman
Blair Vignes picked up a win to accent the Lynn University track team as it opened the spring season at the St. Thomas – Bobcat Season Opener, Saturday. The Fighting Knights grabbed four top-five finishes on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ramos collected the school record with a throw of 5.59 meters
- Vignes finished took home the win in the 5,000-meter run at 19:04.43
- In the 100-meter dash. Junior
Tawnee Madden finished in sixth place at 13.86
- Junior
Lily Koch finished in fourth in the 800 with a time 2:27.92.
- Also in the 800, sophomore
Brooke Mullins captured sixth place with the time of 2:31.34 and graduate student Emma Campell came in seventh place with a time of 2:31.50
- Sophomore
Makayla Lewis came in fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.07
- In the women's 4x400, the relay team of Campbell, Koch, Lewis and graduate student
Deike Schipper came in third in 4:30.64
- The relay team of Vignes, Mullins, freshman
Zoey Bishop and freshman
Brooke Bond came in sixth with a time of 4:49.26
