BOCA RATON, Fla. – Starting pitcher 
Drew Dwyer struck out ten batters over six innings, but Lynn lost their first game of the season to Georgia Southwestern on Saturday, 8-4. The Fighting Knights out-hit the Hurricanes 13-8, but could not overcome four errors defensively.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: 
- Lynn scored three runs on six hits in the first inning
- 
AJ Orrico led off the bottom of the first with a single, 
Byron Murray doubled, 
Shawn Dougherty knocked in Orrico with a single, 
Peter Avino drove in Murray with a single and a 
David Judge single scored Dougherty for the third run of the frame
- In the top of the third, GSW scored four runs as Lynn committed two errors and two hit-by-pitches
- Dwyer posted back-to-back clean innings in the fourth and fifth, with four of the six outs coming via strikeout
- Dwyer's day ended after striking out the side in the top of the sixth with Lynn down 4-3
- The Hurricanes' Grant McDonel hit a grand slam in the top of the eighth to give the road team an 8-3 cushion
- Following 
Yuzuki Okamura and 
Peter Avino singles in the bottom of the eighth, 
David Judge knocked in Okamura with a single to make it a four-run ballgame
- 
Byron Murray singled in the bottom of the ninth, but Georgia Southwestern's Grant Adams secured the save and an 8-4 final
