BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University Fighting Knights came away with a comfortable 23-point win against Florida Southern, 69-46, Saturday and took sole possession of fourth in the SSC in the process. Lynn shot 55% in the game and posted a strong defensive effort that held the Mocasins to just 29% shooting from the field.
The Fighting Knights move to 16-7 overall on the season, including a 9-6 record in the league.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn outscored Florida Southern in the first three quarters and led by as many as 25 points in the fourth
- The Fighting Knights held a 37-19 lead at halftime after holding the Mocs to nine points in the second quarter
- The win is the 13th game this season in which the Fighting Knights have shot 50% from the field

- Lynn pushed its lead to 20 early in the third quarter and Kostic hit a jumper for a 43-21 lead at 8:05

- The Fighting Knights kept their lead over 20 for the entire fourth frame and pushed their advantage to 25 points twice in the closing minutes
