BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn baseball dropped a close game with New Haven, 5-2, on Saturday. Starting pitcher
Marcus Eusebio struck out nine batters, but the Fighting Knights lineup could not capitalize with runners on base to fall to 10-8-1 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

AJ Orrico led off the bottom of the first with a single and scored on a
Leon Paulino double for the first run of the game
- The Chargers' Noah Budzik drove in a run and later scored on a single in the top of the third to give the road team a one-run lead

Byron Murray tied the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning
- New Haven countered with two runs in the next inning to take a 4-2 lead

JP Perez entered and immediately induced a 5-4-3 double play to end the top of the sixth
- The Chargers added a fifth run on a wild pitch in the eighth inning
- The Fighting Knights first two batters reached base in the bottom of the ninth but they were unable to score, as the game ended in favor of New Haven, 5-2
