WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Lynn softball fell to Palm Beach Atlantic, 8-0, in five innings on Friday night. The Fighting Knights are now 17-16 overall and 7-6 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- PBA hit five singles in the bottom of the first inning to jump out to a 3-0 lead
- The Sailfish scored five more runs in the second inning, highlighted by Dallas Watterson's two-run double
- The third, fourth and fifth innings were all scoreless as the game ended in five innings with an 8-0 final
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Taylor Scala went 1-for-2 to raise her season average to .315
- Faith Miller singled in her only at bat
- Kristina Leone drew a walk and has reached base three times over her last four plate appearances
- Eliza Gonzalez pitched a scoreless inning in relief
