GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Freshman
David Cueje Luque set the school record in the 800-meter run as the Lynn University men's track team competed at the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational at the University of Florida, Friday and Saturday.
The Fighting Knights were the lone NCAA Division II school to compete at Florida this weekend.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Cueje Luque finished the 800 in 52
nd place and set the school record by crossing the line in 1:53.79
- Cueje later joined junior
Philip Henderson, senior
Alex Miranda and junior
Collin Clark for a 21
st-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay at 3:26.56
- Junior
Luke Sweatman posted 43
rd in the 1500-meter run in 3:56.63
- Freshman
Paul Mosley ran in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes. He collected 56
th in the 100 at 10.82 and was 73
rd in the 200 in 22.14
- Clark finished in 74
th place in the 200 (22.41) and 53
rd in the 400-meter dash (48.22)
