MELBOURNE, Fla. – The fourth-ranked Lynn University women's tennis team has earned the third seed in the upcoming 2023 Sunshine State Conference Tournament that begins with quarterfinal play on Thursday, April 20th. Florida Southern will host all tournament matches at IMG Academy in Bradenton.
The Fighting Knights enter the tournament with a 17-3 overall record and will face sixth-seed and 21
st-ranked Tampa (11-7) in the opening round at 2:00 pm. Lynn defeated the Spartans 6-1 in late March in the regular-season matchup.
The winner of Lynn/Tampa will advance to the semifinals on Friday, April 21 and will take on the winner of second seed and No. 2 ranked Nova Southeastern and seventh seed and 34
th-ranked Embry-Riddle at 2:00 pm.
Barry captured the 2023 SSC regular-season trophy following a 9-0 record in conference play.
The championship and third-place matches will start at 1:00 AM on Saturday, April 22nd.
