GREENWOOD, S.C. - Lynn defeated Lander, 1-0, Sunday afternoon to improve to 4-0 on the season. The Fighting Knights were led by sophomore goalkeeper Luca Clavero, who made six saves, and senior midfielder Roman Hartleb, who notched his first goal of the season. The Fighting Knights have outscored their opponents 10-0 so far in 2023.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn once again outpaced their opponent in the first half, outshooting the Bearcats 5-1
- The lone goal in the match came at 32:07
- Hartleb found the back of the net on a pass from graduate student Ricardo Packer Jr.
- Packer Jr. leads the Fighting Knights with three assists this season
- Lynn fought off Lander's second half push, as the home team posted five of their six shots on goal over that stretch
- Clavero has made 14 saves on 14 shots on goal through 315 minutes played in 2023
- Clavero has eight shutouts in 13 career starts
- Lynn is now 9-1-1 all time against Lander
