PENSACOLA, Fla. - After a 3-0 start, Lynn women's soccer dropped its first game of the season to West Florida on Sunday, 2-0. At 3-1, the Fighting Knights are off to their best four-game start since 2010.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights withstood six West Florida shots within the first seven minutes of the match
- Lynn freshman goalkeeper Brooke Auth saved five shots to open the half
- The Argonauts scored at 42:28 to take a 1-0 into the half
- West Florida added a second goal at the 51:30 mark
- Freshman Isabella Battista, graduate student Evelin Dapprich, and graduate student Gabriella Lecuona each posted a shot for Lynn
- The Fighting Knights were outshot 22-3 in the loss
- Auth saved six of the Argonauts eight shots on goal
- Lynn allowed its first goals of the season and is now 3-1 in 2023
