BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn women's soccer team dropped its second match of the season on Thursday evening, falling to Southern New Hampshire 1-0. The Fighting Knights put 5 shots on frame, but were unable to score in the non-conference loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn keeper Brooke Auth was busy right away, saving a top left shot just under two minutes into the match
- The Penmen gained momentum, earning three corner kicks in just over a minute
- Auth saved another shot, this time down the middle
- Before the end of the half, the Fighting Knights gained momentum on the attack, with K'la Barnes-Blackwood, Cali Calista and Leyla Molina all putting shots on frame
- Barnes-Blackwood opened the half with a tremendous solo run to the Penmen 18-yard box, but the shot was saved
- In the 57th minute, a flick from outside back Tyler Vance set up Barnes-Blackwood for a shot, but it faded left of the net
- Forward Talorie Crafton cut inside with the left foot and curled a shot into the top left corner, but the Penmen keeper was able to save the shot
- In the 84th minute, forward Vanessa Rodriguez got behind the Southern New Hampshire defense and shot just over the crossbar
- As the clock winded down, the Penmen press broke through, and a Fighting Knight turnover led to a goal in the 89th minute
- After 90 minutes, the Fighting Knights fell to the Penmen 1-0
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- The Fighting Knights had 10 shots on goal to the Penmen's 9
- Barnes-Blackwood had at least 3 shots and 2 shots on goal for the fourth time in five games
- Auth reached the 5-save mark for the second time this season
