BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Lynn men's soccer team played to their second consecutive SSC draw on Saturday night against Florida Southern. Despite eight total shots on goal in the match, neither team scored in the 0-0 final. No. 10 Lynn is now 5-0-2 overall and 0-0-2 in the SSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Florida Southern attempted the only two shots through the first 20 minutes
- Senior Patrick O'Halloran and sophomore Fabian Vyhnalek posted back-to-back shots at 23:44 and 25:12
- The Fighting Knights outshot the Mocs 5-4 in the first half
- O'Halloran and freshman Oskar Dahlberg each made good runs to get off a shot within the first 12 minutes of the second half
- Senior Lukas Rietzler had a quality attempt at 82:38
- Dahlberg put a shot on goal at 88:33 as the match later ended in a scoreless draw
- Sophomore goalkeeper Filip Rosandic made three saves for his first shutout of the season
- The Fighting Knights outshot the Mocs 5-1 in the second half and 10-5 overall
- Lynn had nine corner kicks compared to FSC's two
- The Fighting Knights are now 27-3-1 all time against the Mocs
- Lynn has outshot its opponents 74-44 this season
