BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University volleyball team had its 14-match home winning streak come to an end on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 loss to No. 4 Tampa. The Spartans remain undefeated on the season at 10-0 overall and 4-0 in the Sunshine State Conference, while Lynn settles at 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the league.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Spartans hit .262 and led in kills (48-38), assists (48-34) and digs (74-62)
- The Fighting Knights hit .110 and added four service aces and six blocks to its stats sheet
- Set scores were 25-15, 25-23 and 28-26

Paige Barash posted two kills and an ace as Lynn trailed 10-9 in set one
- UT rattled off seven-straight points for an 18-10 lead and later closed set one on a 7-1 spurt for a 25-15 win

- Tampa rebounded with a 5-0 scoring jolt to close the second set with a 25-23 win

Aline Olegario along with two errors on Tampa handed the Fighting Knights a 7-5 lead
- Barash smacked a kill for a 10-8 lead, while kills from Gash and Wolf later handed Lynn a 13-11 cushion
- The Spartans tried to pull away as they held a 23-20 lead before a 4-0 run gave Lynn a 24-23 lead
- Tampa closed out the match by scoring five of the final seven points in set three for a 28-26 win
