WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Lynn University volleyball team stumbled to a 3-0 loss at Rollins, Friday evening in Sunshine State Conference action. The Fighting Knights settle at 9-4 overall and 3-2 in the SSC, while the Tars are now 7-6 overall and 2-3 in the league.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rollins hit .333 in the three sets behind a .406 hitting percentage in the first set and a .382 in the third
- The Tars led Lynn in kills (54-37), assists (52-36) and digs (46-39)
- The Fighting Knights posted 11 blocks and hit just .204
- A 9-1 run in the first set handed the hosts a 21-14 lead before a pair of kills sealed a 25-17 win

Samantha Wolf smacked a pair of kills in the second set and the Fighting Knights took advantage of five Rollins errors for a 16-14 lead
- The Tars rebounded for a 17-16 lead and used three kills from Lana Gerard for a 26-24 win
- In set three, Rollins collected a 4-0 run for an 11-8 lead and it never trailed again in the final set
- Gerard posted three kills late in the set and a pair of errors from the Fighting Knights handed the hosts a 25-23 win
