MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Lynn University women's soccer team won its third consecutive match of the season on Friday evening, defeating Auburn-Montgomery 2-0. The Fighting Knights were led by goals from
Addison Crone and
Brisa Sastre in the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Fighting Knights got off to a strong start, with K'la Barnes-Blackwood and
Addison Crone putting shots on goal just under five minutes into the match.
- Just over 15 minutes into the match, midfielder
Saga Jontoft played a through ball into box for Barnes-Blackwood, who's shot on goal was met by a Warhawk hand, drawing a penalty kick for the Fighting Knights.
- Crone stepped up to the spot and drove the ball through the bottom right corner, putting Lynn on top 1-0.
- The Warhawks gained momentum, shooting three times in just over four minutes. Lynn keeper
Brooke Auth saved a bottom corner shot off the boot of Reia Henry to keep the Fighting Knights ahead.
- Barnes-Blackwood and
Gabriella Lecuona kept the pressure on, shooting four times as a duo before the half closed.
- In the 62nd minute, Crone drove in a corner, Sastre had a free header and it was met by a Warhawk deflection. The free ball bounced to right back to Sastre, who buried the shot off the left post and into the net, giving the Fighting Knights a 2-0 advantage.
- Barnes-Blackwood and Alexandra Cardona contributed shots on target in the 65th minute, both saved by Warhawk goalkeeper Karla Gaytan.
- Lecuona put two shots on frame in the 82nd minute, but both were saved by Gartan.
- The final whistle was blown, and the Fighting Knights closed out a 2-0 win.
