Ben Gahlert scored nine with 11 rebounds as Lynn defeated a pesky Barry squad, 83-78, Wednesday.
The victory is the fifth straight for the Fighting Knights as they push their overall record to 10-2. The win is the fifth in the SSC for Lynn and it sits in third place in the league standings.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights shot 45.6 percent from the floor (31-of-68) and tied a season-high with 11 three-pointers
- The lead changed hands just three times on the evening
- Lynn built its lead to eight, 13-5 at 15:46 on a Kapic three-pointer
- The Buccaneers rebounded for a seven-point cushion at 25-18 (10:13) on a three from Michael Bradley

Tradavis Thompson connected on a three-pointer with 8:40 showing in the first half for a 26-25 lead and Lynn never trailed again
- Thompson added his third three of the opening half at 2:54 for a 38-33 lead

Brad McCabe closed the half with a layup as time expired for a 43-37 lead at the break
- Thompson connected on a jumper and three-pointer to open the second stanza for a 48-37 lead just 46 seconds into action
- The Fighting Knights increased their advantage to a game-high 14 points at 18:12 and again at 17:36
- Kapic hit another three at 14:41 for a 57-45 cushion
- Barry answered by narrowing its deficit to four at 59-55 with 12:02 to play
- Lynn collected a 7-0 scoring run highlighted by a Gahlert three for a 74-64 lead at 6:33
- The visitors made one final push and narrowed the score to 77-72 with 2:08 left in regulation
- The Fighting Knights pushed their lead back to seven before winning by five, 83-78
