SAINT LEO, Fla. – The 19
th-ranked Lynn University volleyball team hit .418 as
Samantha Wolf posted a double-double in a sweep of Saint Leo on Saturday afternoon (25-14, 25-15, 25-15). The Fighting Knights have won their last six matches and are now 18-1 overall and 8-1 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights hit .545 in a dominant first set
- Kills by
Aline Olegario and
Hope Passerello completed a 4-0 run to give Lynn a first set lead it would not relinquish
- An 8-0 run, led by three kills from
Maria Cecilia Pinho, gave the Blue and White a 20-11 lead
- Back-to-back kills by Wolf and
Lillia Neill finished a 25-14 first set win
- An early 5-0 run that began with a
Fabia Gonzalez Stanton kill opened up a 6-2 Lynn lead to start the second set
- The Lions bounced back to tie the set at nine
- The Fighting Knights followed with a 10-0 run to take a commanding 19-9 lead, as Wolf provided three kills during the stretch
- Passerello finished the set with a kill for a 25-15 win and 2-0 set lead
- An ace by Wolf gave Lynn a 4-1 lead to start the third set
- An 8-0 run was highlighted by two aces from Stanton and three kills by Wolf as Lynn opened up a 15-6 advantage

Samantha Blahut's kill capped a 4-0 run for a 19-9 Lynn lead
- Olegario's kill provided a 25-15 set win to end the match
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Wolf hit .577, recording 15 kills and 11 digs for her sixth double-double of the season
- Stanton added nine kills and nine digs
- Passerello dished out 32 assists and leads the SSC with 371 assists this season
- The Fighting Knights had the advantage in kills (48-25), blocks (6-2), assists (40-24) and digs (46-31)
- Lynn's .418 attack percentage was the second highest in any SSC match this season, while its 48 kills were the second-highest in any conference three-set match in 2024
- The Blue and White have won seven consecutive matches against the Lions, surrendering just two sets over the span
