ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Lucas Vila's goal in the 50^th minute proved to be the game-winner as No. 1 Lynn defeated Eckerd on the road, 2-1, Saturday night. With the victory, Lynn has clinched the SSC regular season title. The Fighting Knights are now 8-0-1 in the conference and 12-0-1 overall.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Dominik N'gatie took the matches first shot on goal in the 17^th minute
- Lynn scored its first goal on a deflection in front of the net off a corner to take a 1-0 lead in the 19^th minute 
- Eckerd outshot Lynn 5-2 in the first half
- Vila opened the second half with a goal to give Lynn a 2-0 lead in the 50^th minute
- Tony Gomez's shot to the center of the goal at 62:10 was saved by the Tritons keeper
- Fabian Vyhnalek took shots in the 63^rd and 66^th minutes that went wide of the goal
- Max Lambertz continued to pressure Eckerd with a shot at 73:14
- Eckerd was awarded a penalty kick and capitalized with a goal in the 79^th minute
- Lynn held Eckerd without a shot attempt over the final 10 minutes to secure the win, 2-1

- Lynn only allowed one shot on goal in the match (penalty kick)
- The Fighting Knights have held their opponents to single digit shots in 12 of their 13 matches in 2024
- Vyhnalek led Lynn with three shots and leads the team with 33 shots this season
