BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's men's soccer concluded its regular season with a 1-1 draw against Saint Leo, maintaining their undefeated streak and securing an impressive 12-0-2 overall record, including an 8-0-2 mark in the Sunshine State Conference. The unblemished season marks Head Coach
John Rootes' first unbeaten regular season with the Fighting Knights.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Kiefer took the first shot of the match in the 14th minute
- The attempt aimed for the bottom right of the net but was saved by Lions goalkeeper James Knudsen
- The Fighting Knights had back-to-back opportunities a minute later with Kiefer and
Lucas Vila behind the shots, but both were saved

Luan Barroso Rennstich had the last shot of the half in the 33rd minute that went low-middle of the net but the chance was ultimately saved by Knudsen
- All four of Lynn's shots in the first half were on target
- The Lions struck first in the 55th minute
- After a first shot attempt was saved by
Luca Clavero, the second attempt went over his head for a Saint Leo goal

Fabian Vyhnalek had an excellent chance to tie the game in the 64th minute with a shot that soared to the top-left corner which was saved by Knudsen
- The equalizer came in the 87th minute when
Anton Mand's left-footed shot connected with
Jan Rohrling's through ball that secured the final 1-1 scoreline
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- The Fighting Knights outshot Saint Leo 14-8
- Nine of Lynn's 14 shots were on target for its highest SOG% of the season (0.643)
- This is Lynn's 11th game where it had shots in the double digits
- Clavero was only challenged three times and made two saves
- He has the second highest save percentage in the SSC with 0.734
- The Blue and White end the regular season as the best defensive team in the SSC with nine goals against in 1,260 minutes played
