BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 16th-ranked Lynn volleyball team defeated Saint Leo in straight sets (25-16, 25-19, 25-9) on Friday night at the de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center. The Fighting Knights hit .344 while holding the Lions to just .091. The Blue and White have posted five straight sweeps and 20 overall in 2024.
Lynn has earned at least a share of the conference title, sitting at 16-3 in the Sunshine State Conference and 26-3 overall with one game remaining in the regular season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lions used a 5-0 run to climb within four, 20-16
- Kills by
Aline Olegario and Stanton powered a 5-0 run to close out the first set
- Wolf's ace capped a 4-0 start to the second set
- Two kills by Wolf and an ace by
Ula Gorjup led a 5-0 spurt for the Fighting Knights to take a 14-6 lead
- Gorjup served three aces during a 5-0 opening to the third set

- Stanton followed with 10 kills and hit .421
