BOCA RATON, Fla. – Saga Jontoft's dramatic late-game free kick earned the Lynn University women's soccer team a hard-fought 2-2 draw against the Saint Leo Lions at Bobby Campbell Stadium in a non-conference match, Friday night.
The Fighting Knights finish their regular season 4-6-6 overall, and 2-3-5 in the SSC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Katie Ingoglia had the first opportunity of the match in the 2nd minute that went wide-left

Emma Brunelli made two saves in the 11th and 14th minutes to keep it scoreless
- Saint Leo took the lead in the 32nd minute, 1-0
- Both teams shared five shots each before the break
- The Lions extended their lead to 2-0 in the 61st minute of the second half
- The Fighting Knights began their comeback in the 69th minute when
Addison Crone found the back of the net with a low shot from 25 yards, narrowing the deficit to 2-1

McKenna Gardner looked for an opportunity to tie the game in the 79th minute but just missed the target
- The Fighting Knights won a free-kick in a goal-scoring position outside the 18-yard box, in the 89th minute
- Jontoft delivered the equalizer with a well-placed free kick to the top left corner, bringing the score to 2-2
- Lynn's defense held firm in the final minute with a crucial save from Brunelli to preserve the draw
