MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Lynn women's basketball won its second game in as many days on Saturday, defeating Trevecca Nazarene 54-49 to sweep its GSC/SSC Crossover trip.
Rachel Romich led the Fighting Knights with 16 points, while
Jess Knight posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Trinity Mocadlo's jumper gave Lynn an 8-6 lead at the 6:11 mark in the first quarter

Katie Tiffan and Mocadlo each made threes as Lynn led, 16-10
- Trevecca Nazarene took the lead before Knight put the Fighting Knights ahead 23-22 with 4:14 remaining in the first half
- A layup in the final seconds of the half left Lynn trailing, 28-27, heading to the break
- Romich hit a pair of threes that each gave Lynn the lead in a back-and-forth third quarter
- Lynn then went on a 10-0 run to take a 45-36 lead, as
Danielle Montelbano added four points during the spurt
- Trevecca Nazarene tied the game with 8:22 left in the fourth quarter
- Romich knocked in another three to break the tie with 3:48 left
- The Fighting Knights forced four turnovers over the final six minutes of the game, holding their opponent scoreless for the last 6:49 of the game
- Mocadlo scored the final basket of the game for a five-point win, 54-49
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Lynn led in fast break points, 10-2
- Knight also added two blocks
- Tiffan scored eight points in 17 minutes
- Montelbano had a team high six assists
- Romich scored her most points in a game since 12/15/2023 (16 points against Lake Superior St.)
- The Blue and White grabbed 13 offensive rebounds
