SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Lynn, the fourth seed, swept fifth-seeded Wingate in the NCAA Division II Championship quarterfinal, 25-18, 25-20, 25-18. The Fighting Knights are headed to their first Final Four in program history.

Lynn trailed 20-14 in the second frame but used an 11-0 run to finish the set. A 7-0 run in the third set helped the Blue and White finish the match. Samantha Wolf posted a game-high 19 kills, Maria Cecilia Pinho hit .455 with 11 kills and Fabia Gonzalez Stanton added 13 digs and four aces in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set 1: Lynn, 25-18
- The Fighting Knights hit .455 in the first set
- Ula Gorjup assisted kills by Samantha Wolf and Maria Cecilia Pinho to open up the match with a 2-0 Lynn lead
- Fabia Gonzalez Stanton's kill put Lynn back ahead by two, 6-4
- The Bulldogs tied the set at 10 before kills by Wolf and Cecilia Pinho helped the Fighting Knights take a 13-10 advantage
- Lynn broke open the set with a 6-0 run, highlighted by a kill and block by Aline Olegario, two kills by Cecilia Pinho and capped off with an ace by Isabella Gentile
- Wolf's kill led to a set point at 24-16 and a service error later sealed the frame at 25-18
Set 2: Lynn, 25-20
- Olegario's kill gave the Blue and White a 3-1 lead
- Gorjup's early attack made the score 7-4 in favor of Lynn
- Lynn found itself down 14-9 after a 6-0 Wingate run
- Stanton and Olegario's block brought the Fighting Knights within three, 16-13
- Down 20-14, Lynn finished the set on an 11-0 spurt
- Stanton posted four aces and a kill during the set-clinching run
Set 3: Lynn, 25-18
- Wingate took an early 5-3 lead and eventually led 9-6
- Samantha Blahut and Cecilia Pinho blocked a Bulldogs attempt and Wolf added two kills as Lynn tied the set at 10
- Olegario and Stanton's block gave the Fighting Knights the lead, 13-12
- The two teams traded points before Lynn went on a 7-0 run, highlighted by four Wolf kills
- Blahut's kills clinched the match and a trip to the semifinals

FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Gorjup dished out 34 assists and had five kills
- Cecilia Pinho has double-digit kills in six consecutive matches
- Wolf has 429 kills this season
- Gentile had a game-high 16 digs
- Olegario had three solo blocks and has 43 on the season – second most in school history
- Lynn hit .333, its second-highest total in the NCAA Tournament (.398 against Spring Hill)
- Wingate is the first opponent to hit over .200 against the Fighting Knights in 10 matches (.221)
