BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn women's basketball used a 14-0 run in the second half to defeat Bowie State 64-56 on Sunday afternoon.
Ella Fiore and
Danielle Montelbano combined for 15 of Lynn's 20 fourth quarter points as the Fighting Knights secured their second win in as many days at the Lynn Holiday Classic to improve to 7-4 overall.
Jess Knight recorded her second-straight double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds while Fiore (14) and Montelbano (12) each reached double-figures in points.

Channing Chappell's long jumper gave Lynn its 12
th point as the home team trailed 17-15 through 10 minutes
- Fiore grabbed a defensive rebound and found Romich for a fastbreak bucket to tie the game at 21 with 7:13 left in the second quarter

Trinity Mocadlo found Knight for an open jumper to give Lynn the lead, 25-24
- The teams went to the break tied at 28 as the first half totaled six ties and four lead changes
- Lynn took back the lead to open the second half after Knights layup
- Chappell sank a three to keep the Fighting Knights ahead with 5:15 left in the quarter, 34-33
- Montelbano found Fiore open inside with a pass over multiple defender for a layup and Lynn three-point lead
- The next three minutes were competitive and left the two sides tied at 40
- Lynn scored on back-to-back plays in the final minute of the period with layups from Montelbano and Mocadlo to take the lead into the final quarter, 44-41
- The Blue and White started the fourth period with a 9-0 run until the 7:36 mark to take a 13-point lead, highlighted by a smooth give and go between Fiore and Hemingway
- Romich sunk a three-pointer at the 5:19 mark to hold an 11-point advantage, 57-46
- Fiore maintained that lead a minute later with a layup in the paint, 59-48
- Montelbano closed out the game with an and-one for Lynn's seventh win of the season
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Knight surpassed her season high in rebounds with 16 (previous high was 14 set on 12/21 vs. Shaw)
- Montelbano scored all 12 of her points in the second half
- Fiore is shooting 55% (17-for-31) over her last four games
- Romich made all three of her shots, including a three-pointer
- Hemingway made a three and added five rebounds, four assists and a block in 18 minutes
- Lynn shot 57% (8-for-14) in the fourth quarter
- The Fighting Knights grabbed a season-high 14 offensive rebounds and 47 total rebounds
- The Blue and White tied a season low with just 12 turnovers
- Lynn held its opponents to 32% from the field (44-for-137) during the two tournament games
