BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn women's basketball lost a home conference matchup to No. 21 Embry-Riddle 63-52 on Thursday afternoon at the de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center.
Channing Chappell (14),
Jess Knight (14) and
Trinity Mocadlo (12) all reached double figures in scoring. The Fighting Knight are now 7-5 overall and 1-4 in the Sunshine State Conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Rachel Romich opened the game with a three-pointer
- ERAU followed with a 10-0 run and led 12-5 through 10 minutes
- Chappell's three brought Lynn's deficit to single digits with 6:32 remaining in the first half
- The Eagles led by 12 with 4:19 left in the second quarter and Lynn followed with a 10-2 run to close the half

Ella Fiore started the run with a jumper that was assisted by
Danielle Montelbano
- Montelbano's reverse layup kept the run going as Knight added a pair of layups and Chappell closed the frame with a driving layup
- Chappell (8) and Knight (7) combined for 15 of Lynn's 19 points in the second quarter
- Romich made a three to cut the deficit to three, 34-31, with 6:54 showing in the third quarter
- Knight brought Lynn within two but the Eagles opened a 10-point lead with 2:41 left in the third frame, 46-36
- After Knight opened the fourth quarter with an inside bucket, Embry-Riddle followed with a 13-4 spurt to lead by 19
- Chappell made back-to-back long threes as Lynn trailed 63-50 with 2:14 remaining in regulation
- Fiore made the final basket of the game for a 63-52 final

- Chappell had a career-high 14 points and is shooting 44% from beyond the arc this season (18-for-41)
- Mocadlo has scored in double figures in four of her last five contests
- Fiore recorded her fourth game this season with multiple steals
