BOCA RATON, Fla. – The 20
th-ranked Lynn University women's lacrosse team scored the first eight goals and never looked back as it dominated Lincoln Memorial, 17-4, in its 2024 opener Tuesday afternoon. The Fighting Knights have now won their last four season openers and their only loss came in 2020, the first year in program history.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights led in shots (30-9) and draw controls (18-5) and were nearly perfect on clears (12-of-13)
- Lynn held the Rail Splitters to just two goals in the second quarter and one each in the third and fourth quarters
- Junior 
Kristyn Johnson scored the game's first two goals, both inside the opening minute to reach the 100 career goal milestone
- Junior 
Mallory Jarka assisted both of Johnson's goals and later scored two of her own as Lynn led 8-0 with 2:19 left in the first frame
- The hosts later added a 6-0 scoring run for a 15-3 advantage late in the third
- Sophomore Liz Clagett scored two goals in the first quarter and added two more during the 6-0 run

Jordyn McCullough scored the final three goals for the Blue & White to set the final at 17-4
 
FIGHTING KNIGHT STATS:
- Johnson finished with three goals and two assists
- Clagett scored four times with one assist and six draw controls
- Sophomore 
Rebecca Clark scored twice with one assist, two ground balls, three caused turnovers and four draw controls
- Jarka added two goals and two assists
- Sophomore 
Isabella Connelly led all players with seven draw controls

Katelyn Andrews and freshman
